LEPTONIC CP VIOLATION IN A LEFT-RIGHT-SYMMETRIC U(1)_H HORIZONTAL GAUGE MODEL

In the present model based on the gauge groups SU(2)_L × SU(2)_R × U(1)_(B·L) × U(1)_H for two generations of leptons, leptonic CP violation can be achieved with proper choice of Higgs fields and discrete symmetries. Furthermore, small neutrino masses with normal hierarchy can be obtained in the model. It is shown that neutral Higgs exchange at tree level plays dominant role for spontaneous leptonic CP violation compared to that due to other fields supporting strong evidence for Higgs fields at TeV scale.
