OPTIMAL RESERVE INVENTORY LEVEL BETWEEN TWO GRADES IN MANPOWER PLANNING

摘要

In this paper, an organisation consisting of two branches where the second branch serves as an inventory between Grade 1 and Grade 2 of the first branch in the context of filling up of the vacancies that arises in Grade 2 is considered. The optimal reserve inventory in the second branch is studied so as to minimize the overall cost incurred. The results are illustrated by numerical examples.
