THE IDLE-PREIOD DISTRIBUTION FOR G~x /G/l QUEUES

In this paper we have developed a non-linear integral equation for the idle-period distribution of the G~xG/1 queue. We define a unique solution for this non-linear system. The idle period distribution plays an important role in determining other quantities that measure the performance of the system.
