摘要

a distinct difference in boron isotopes between seawater and terrestrial water is empha- sized by δ~11B values reported for seawater and groundwater, with an average of 38.8/100 and in the range of -8.9/100 respectively. The isotopic composition of boron in groundwater can be used to quantify seawater intrusion and identify intrusion types, e.g. seawater or brine intrusions with different chemical and isotopic characteristics, by using the relation of δ~11b and chloride con- centration.
