A TRIBUTE TO PROFESSOR BISWAPATI MUKHERJEE (1941-2021)

My association with Professor Biswapati Mukherjee was long and close, and so I have been asked to write his obituary. But, it is a heart-breaking task for me to write an obituary note for a person who was like my younger brother. A tall handsome loving person, immaculately dressed in white dhuti and full-shirt, with a warm welcoming and comforting smile, will not say anymore, 'Sunilda, I will drop you at your residence in my car en route my home.' This offer always used to come from him whenever we were to come back from a meeting in Kolkata or suburb. My mind is now flooded with emotional memories.
