HISTORY OF INDIAN PHARMACY - A PERSPECTIVE

In The Hindu mythology Lord Brahma is the First (5000 years BC) Teacher of Universe who wrote the 4 Vedas (Treatise of Wisdom) namely Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samveda, Atharvaveda. Ayurveda - means science of life and is without any beginning or end of its existence, it is eternal ! It is said to have been composed in one lakh shlokas (hymns) including 2345 mantras on medicine & divided into one thousand chapters to form an Upaveda -a subsection of the Atharvaveda.
