ISNA Council Member Honoured

It is our pleasure to inform you that Dr. Satyabrara Chakrabarti, a member of the Indian Science News Association and a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Science and Culture, has been elected as the General Secretary of The Asiatic Society, the prestigious and oldest academic institution of the Country. He assumed the charge of his office on 2nd May 2016. The Asiatic Society was established in 1784 and was recognized as an "Institution of National Importance" in 1984 by an Act of Parliament. We congratulate Dr. Chakrabarti on this well-earned recognition. Dr. Chakrabarti retired as Deputy Director, Anthropological Survey of India.
