The P-51D Mustang is one of the legendary aircraft of WW2. It featured a Bubble canopy and the Packard V-1650-7 Engine, a license built version of the Rolls-Royce Merlin 60 Series fitted with a two stage, two speed supercharger, as well as a redesigned wing and alterations to the undercarriage lock ups and inner door retracting mechanism. Armament was increased with two additional.50" M2 Browning Machine Guns and the wing racks were strengthened to carry bombs of up to 1,000lb. The P-51D became the most widely produced Mustang with a total of 8,102 being built.
