Private equity interest in newspace emerging after years in hibernation

Private equity firms are showing investment interest in newspace again as the industry shows signs of maturing, a notable development given the minimal activity in the wider sector from that source in recent years. PEs recently invested in early rounds to finance a constellation of high-resolution hyperspectral satellites, and they have accounted for a decent share of funding in 2018, research from early-stage investor Space Angels found.
