Harris Corporation has been named one of the world's most innovative companies by Thomson Reuters under the firm's new 2011 Top 100 Global Innovator program. The program analyzes patent data and related metrics in a proprietary methodology to identify the organizations that lead the world in innovation ac- tivity. Harris was one of 40 US based companies and one of seven communications companies selected as a top global innovator. The Thomson Reuters 2011 Top 100 Global Innovator methodology is based on four principle criteria: patent approval success rate, global reach of patent portfolio, patent influence in literature citations and overall patent volume.
