An all-in-one GMDSS device combining a battery charger and GMDSS data has been produced by battery charger specialist Victron Energy. Its Skylla-TG 24/30 unit is the company's first venture into this market and Victron distributor Neho Speciaal Techniek exhibited an example at last month's Europort exhibition in Rotterdam. It has been designed to provide all the necessary monitoring and alarm data and both the battery and the GMDSS system itself are connected directly to a standard Skylla TG charger.
