SAR for Qingdao

Shandong province, in the north of China, is to set up a maritime rescue centre in Qingdao, the province's major port. The facility will be located in the Qingdao headquarters of the Shandong Marine Safety Administration and headed by the province's vice-governor. It will act as the focal point for air- sea search and rescue missions, to provide quick response to major pollution events and for storm and ice warnings.
