McMurdo gains FCC type-approval

McMurdo's Fastfind MAX PLB range of Personal Locator Beacons, has been awarded FCC type-approval certification, allowing them to be sold in the US. Two models are involved - the MAX and the MAX G (which has 12-channel GPS). McMurdo said in a statement in April that its US distributor, Revere Supply, already has a large number of orders from not only the marine sector but also from outdoor and aviation customers.
