Anyone who has faced a major evacuation involving helicopters, rescue boats, airlifts and the emergency services might think they were in the middle of a very bad dream. However, a recent security alert that saw more than 150 people taken off a remote platform in the North Sea was literally caused by a nightmare.rnFor the scare, on the Safe Scandinavia, a floating hotel for oil rig drillers and technical staff, took hold when a 23-year-old oil employee told her work colleagues that she had just dreamt about a bomb being planted on the platform.rnPolice and coastguards were alerted and on the morning of 10 February a convoy of aircraft and helicopters descended on the accommodation platform, located 185km off the northeast coast of Scotland. Eventually 161 of the 539 workers were evacuated to nearby platforms while it was scoured for suspicious-looking objects.
