Fire and explosion injures passengers

The investigation into a fire that injured several people on the Danish ferry Lisco Gloria in October will take 'weeks', vessel owner DFDS told SASI. An explosion in the car deck is thought to have caused the fire that eventually spread across the whole of the 20,140gt ro-pax, which was en route from the German port of Kiel to Klaipeda in Lithuania on 9 October. Twenty-three people were reported injured out of the 204 passengers and 32 crew members who were rescued by small vessels and the German coast guard.
