During an a typically sus-tained period of sunny British weather, I had the pleasure of spend-ing two evenings by the Thames. In the first instance I was at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre while on the second I was on board the museum ship HMS Belfast, on the river itself, for the 2010 SASI Awards and Lecture (our report begins on pl8).
