Pilot ladder guidance released

The body representing maritime pilots and the ICS have produced new guidance aimed at improving pilot ladder safety. Shipping industry guidance on pilot transfer arrangements covers amendments to SOLAS regulations on pilot ladders which came into force in July. The booklet is aimed at shipping companies and seafarers, the International Maritime Pilots' Association (IMPA) stated.
