Passengers injured on Australia ferry

Six passengers on a Sydney ferry were injured on 7 October when the vessel, a Rivercat carrying 230 people, crashed into the wharf at Circular Quay. Emergency services were called to the scene, where paramedics attended the injured, according to local press reports. The Marlene Mathews RiverCat hit a pylon at Wharf 5 as it came in to dock, police said. One of the six sustained facial injuries and was taken to hospital for further treatment. Others, including one child, suffered grazes and other minor injuries. Passenger Amanda Bell wrote on social networking site Facebook: "I don't believe there were any serious injuries, although almost everyone fell over on impact."
