ISF updates engine cadet record book

The International Shipping Federation (ISF) has updated its On Board Training Record Book for Engine Cadets (Trainee Officer). The update takes account of the amended competence requirements in the STCW Convention 2010, which entered into force in January 2012. The convention requires that a cadet's seagoing experience and onboard training is entered into a record book approved by the government issuing the certificate of competency.
