More than 160 people are dead after Bangladeshi passenger ship Nayou sank off the western coast of Burma. The vessel was carrying more than 200 asylum-seekers from Bangladesh to Malaysia when it sank on 4 December. The following day, 40 people were rescued by the crew of the Vinalines-owned, 45,585dwt bulker Nosco Victory, which was on its way to Singapore from Bangladesh when drifting survivors were spotted.
