McMurdo AIS devices go overboard

McMurdo Marine Systems' new Class A and Class B AIS devices should offer reassurance to mariners whether they're on the bridge or in the water. Both products include software that integrates a signal to the company's latest generation of personal man overboard beacon, the S10 AIS Beacon. The AIS can be set with an optional klaxon to go off if someone falls overboard and will pinpoint their location at a distance of up to 4nm, according to Robin George, product manager for McMurdo.
