Three men die after falling ill at UK port

Three seafarers have died at a hospital in the United Kingdom after falling ill onboard their ship, Suntis, when it was berthed at the port of Goole, in the east of England, on 26 May. The cause of the deaths remained unknown as SAS went to press, but the police had concluded that no crime was involved. A 60-year-old German and two Filipinos, aged 33 and 38, were taken to a hospital after becoming unwell on the German-owned vessel. Humberside Police has carried out an investigation and on 28 May passed the matter over to the Maritime and Coastguard Authority (MCA), an MCA spokesperson told SAS.
