Ship attacks in Asia at a low but oil theft set to rise

Ship attacks in Asian waters fell to a five-year low in the first half of 2017. However, the Regional Co-operation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia (ReCAAP) Information Sharing Centre (ISC) has highlighted the possible resurgence of ship hijackings for oil cargo theft.
