VSTEP rolls out update for NAUTIS

VSTEP has released the latest software version of its NAUTIS simulator, update 3.6, for NAUTIS users. According to VSTEP, the update comes with new features, fixes, and refinements that "aim to make training sessions smoother and more immersive, thus contributing to an increased amount of value that trainees can get out of virtual simulation". The content present within NAUTIS is designed to allow trainees to operate within true-to-life situations. The update adds more vessels and scenarios to the existing library, for example, three unmanned surface vessels and a new inland cruise ferry. The update also allows users the opportunity to implementship-to-ship lightering with fenders in between. A spokesperson told SAS, "Certain updates are only for particular clients. However, every client with the previous version (NAUTIS 3.5) are eligible for the upgrade.
