If you have ever attended a court hearing you may have spotted the basic principle on which lawyers operate: never ask a question to which you don't know the answer. So why did we undertake our survey last month - which so many of you kindly took the time to respond to? Well, primarily because we need to know if we are giving you the kind of magazine you want, and, if we're not, to take steps to make sure we do. Also, although we produce a very big magazine each month, we are a small team and it's never going to be possible to canvass all 30,000 plus of you individually, so this is the most practical way of gauging your opinion. Finally, the survey presents a snapshot of where the health and safety profession is at the moment.
