It's nine months now since I became president, and there's been much good going on at IOSH. Like the recent launch of 'Connect', our electronic newsletter, to improve communication between members. This came about as a result of comments from members, and shows that your comments are listened to and acted on, where possible. We live in a world where people want everything now. IOSH is no different. I know some of you want your professional body to provide more, and to provide it now. I'm pleased that IOSH members are demanding, and have ideas to improve their professional organisation. However, change takes time. There are 33,000 members with 33,000 views - it's difficult to judge everyone's views and if we just listen to a vocal minority we might alienate the silent majority. We have to look at the whole picture, and we must make the right decision for IOSH as a whole.
