Construction workers want inquiry into blacklisting

A pressure group is demanding a public inquiry into the illegal blacklisting of workers by some of the UK's leading construction firms.rnThe Blacklist Support Croup held a pocked meeting at the Houses of Parliament in October to lobby MPs to take action against the 44 construction firms that subscribed to a covert database containing sensitive personal information on thousands of building workers (see SHP April, News). MP John McDonnell attended the meeting and supports the group's call for action. He said: "This is one of the worst ever cases of organised abuses of human rights in the UK.
