The Association for Project Safety (APS) has announced that Faithful & Gould has become accredited to provide the Association's training course in 'The Management of CDM Coordination'. To gain accreditation, the company had to display a clear understanding of the legal, political and policy framework that governs the enforcement of health and safety law and CDM regulations, including current HSE implementation and interventionist strategies. Sign installation and maintenance firm, Xmo Strata, is celebrating being awarded one of the world's toughest safety accreditations-for the fourth time. The International Contractors' Safety Rating System is so tough, says the company, that it is normally applied to companies working on nuclear-power stations, and sub-sea pipelines. It covers a range of assessment areas, including leadership, training, emergency preparedness and procedures, investigations and analysis, health control, and PPE.
