Scottish fire and rescue report findings

A report published by the Scottish Government has highlighted 80 incidents of attacks on fire and rescue service personnel during the financial year 2012-2013. The figures reflect a decrease of 32 incidents from 2011-2012. But the data, which covers Scotland's eight fire and rescue services, shows that four personnel were injured, an increase of three on the previous year. This is the fourth year that the Scottish Government has published data on Scotland's fire and rescue services. The publication provides information on workforce, stations and equipment as a snapshot in time.
