The IOSH Sports Grounds and Events Group looks set for some great successes during 2014. Following a fruitful event at the end of last year highlighting the importance of the new Construction Design Management Regulations on the events industry in 2014, the group has had a number of requests from organisations for advice and guidance. Chair of the IOSH Sports Grounds and Events Group Carl Hagemann said: "Since the group launched at Wembley at the beginning of 2011, things keep on going from strength to strength for us. "We have a wealth of experience from active safety professionals on the group's committee from the sporting and events world. This ranges from but not exclusively, safety management of London 2012, Glastonbury Festival, the Commonwealth Games 14, the National Outdoor Events Association, Event Industry Alliance, the Safety Advisors Group for Entertainment, Local Authority Event Organisers Group, the Race Course Association and the Rugby League Ground Safety Officers Association."
