The paper investigates the Russian language spoken in Israel. The research onnthe integration of lexemes that switched from Hebrew into Russian, which is the matrixnlanguage, provides us with innovative material. The chief purpose of this research is tonreveal the development trends of several morphological, phonomorphological and syntacticnstructures typical of modern Russian. In considering the morphological paradigm ofnswitched nouns the problems of stress shift are discussed. The impossibility of the movablenstress pattern in most switches demonstrates the difference between the integrated and non-nintegrated loan words. The switching of composita typical of Hebrew (status constructus)nbecame possible by the development of analytical adjectives typical of modern Russian andndescribed by M. V. Panov, who considered them as a new part of speech. In noun phrasesnwith switched adjectives the latter one follows the noun if there is no morphologicalnagreement; thus the word order of Hebrew is preserved. The use of Hebrew nounsnpreceded by Russian cardinal numbers demonstrates the switching of a whole pattern,nwhich corresponds to the Matrix Language Model. In a few examples of the switching ofna verb several patterns of ad-nominal word formation can be observed. Finally, the questionnof semantic shifts in borrowing and switching is discussed. A comparison of our materialnwith the cases of recent borrowing from several languages into Russian is also provided.
