Judging the Judges: Balancing the Legal Rights of Victims and Terrorists

The battle over values has come to Europe. The responsibility for allowing terrorists to roam freely is now a part of European politics. Whilst bomb attacks struck London twice, German justices were freeing terror suspects from their trial procedures. Terrorists are not just shaped by mad mullahs anymore - they are now hatched in 'Londonistan' and 'Hamburgistan'. The crackdown on terrorists is also hindered because of disregard for normative values amongst leading European judges. But luckily, the debate on values among constitutional jurists is growing. On the face of it, it might be difficult to understand why two extremists like Abu Hamza Al-Masri and Omar Bakri Mohammed have not been deported a long time ago from Great Britain.
