Like the Cavalry, Helicopter Operators and Manufacturers Have Come to the Rescue!

At the Annual General Membership Meeting at HELI-EXPO 2007, HAI President, Matt Zuccaro, along with the entire HAI Board of Directors proudly presented HAI-sponsored scholarships to two pilots and three maintenance technicians to aid them in their desire to become a part of our wonderful industry. Nancy Sullivan, Aris Helicopters funded one of the maintenance scholarships entirely. And what enthusiastic young people they were! Each of them talked with HAI Staff and Carolyn Ferrell, Chair of the HAI Human Resources Committee at the Show and afterwards. Here is a sampling of their stories. "I needed the H.A.I. scholarship more than words can express. Thanks to the program I was able to achieve my life long dream to be a Commercial Helicopter Pilot. Finding the money to be able to attend Bristow Academy or any school is nearly impossible. I sold my home, quit my job, left my son in Pennsylvania and took a chance, to chase my dreams. My little one is so proud of me now.
