Boeing/Bell Turn Down Indian Attack Helicopter RFP

Both the Boeing Company and Bell Helicopter have dropped out of the bidding for 22 attack helicopters for the Indian Air Force, according to a Market Watch report. Boeing said that it would not bid for a contract to supply the Apache AH-64D Longbow because of time constraints. The Indian Army put out a tender for 22 attack helicopters and requested a reply from the Mesa, Ariz.-based company within 90 days.
