摘要

Photodesorption of CO from Cu(111) has been studied using a non-conservative three-state phenomenological model, in a wave packet propagation of the Schroedinger equation formalism. The non-conservative coupling with the metal bath is introduced through: (ⅰ) the rapid time variation of a damped state of the metal giving rise to a dcphasing between the excitation and de-excitation events and (ⅱ) a quenching rate of the excited state. The model displays a Y≈F~(4.9) dependence of the desorption yield with the laser fluence, in agreement with the experimental yield.
