An original design method of the maximally flat digital Hilbert transformers is presented. Compact relations, with a high degree of generality, for the design of the linear phase FIR (Finite Impulse Response) Hilbert transformers are obtained. A computer programme based on this method was elaborated. Some illustrative examples and plots are given.
