STRING COSMOLOGICAL MODELS IN CYLINDRICALLY SYMMETRIC INHOMOGENEOUS UNIVERSE - REVISITED

A new class of cylindrically symmetric inhomogeneous string cosmological models is investigated. To get the deterministic solution, it has been assumed that the expansion (θ) in the model is proportional to the eigen value σ_1~1 of the shear tensor σ_j~1. In the present work we have considered three cases: (ⅰ) B = f(x)g(t) and C = h(x)k(t), (ⅱ)B = f(x)g(t) and C = f(x)k(t), and (ⅲ) B = f(x)g(t) and C = h(x)g(t), wherernB and C are metric coefficients. The physical and geometric aspects of these models are also discussed.
