At first glance, a concrete pump with a 58-meter boom ― the longest such boom available in North America ― would seem to be overkill for a simple residential footing pour. But when you use this pump with its 190 feet of reach to pump more than 20 footings on the same day, it seems like the ideal choice. At least that's the feeling of Acme Concrete Pumping of Reno, Nev., which earlier this year used its 58-meter Putzmeister pump to pour 22 home footings in just nine hours with only two equipment moves. The work was done for Sommercal, general contractor for Reo-nen & Bardis Homes.
