Work Begins On Galena Creek Bridge

On Nov. 4, 2003, Edward Kraemer & Sons broke ground on the Nevada Department of Transportation's Galena Creek Project south of Reno. This is the first phase of the Interstate 580 extension project that will ultimately link Reno with the state capital in Carson City. The $79.5-million project will construct four bridges, including a record-setting span over Galena Creek.
