RHA hails new proposals for funding support

An improved funding package for apprentices in the transport sector has been proposed that will open up even more opportunities for smaller firms. From April 2017, lorry driving apprentices will attract government support of up to £4,500, with an additional £2,000 depending on the age of the individual. Importantly, the funding obligation on smaller firms taking on 16-18 year olds has been reduced to nil.
