Scania unveils new tipper for citv work

In response to calls for greater safety for vulnerable road-users Scania has a new tipper designed specifically for work in urban areas. Unveiled for the first time at the CLOCs exhibition, the Scania Urban Tipper, the company says, sets a new standard for tippers operating in city centres. Scania anticipates that up to 95% of the truck's driving time will be on public highways, and to reduce the potential risks to other road-users the tipper has a range of safety features including advanced emergency braking and a lane departure system.
