Alongside the support we already offer members in improving their service to clients, we're refining our knowledge about what members do and how we can support them in the future. The Membership Survey of 2006 revealed how much can be done and continues to inform strategy. For example, many graduate members never completed their architectural training and have gone on to follow other careers, as developers, say, or engineers. We'd like to engage that community more, create benefits tailored to their needs and bring them into the RIBA fold. Another class under review is the international member. One third of the world's architects qualify through an RIBA based validation system, and we will be developing more focused services for overseas RIBA members.
