Background: Fatigue is a common and debilitating symptom in patients with primary Sjögren’s syndrome (PSS). The underlying pathogenesis is not clear but is thought to be multi-factorial including both biological and psycho-social factors. However, the relative contribution of these factors to PSS-related fatigue, in particularly the relatively importance of potentially treatable causes, has not been fully defined. In this study the prevalence of fatigue and potentially treatable symptoms such as autonomic dysfunction (AD), sleep disorders (SD), depression (DEP) and anxiety (ANX) in patients with PSS.
