Forget paper or plastic. How about recycled content or compostable/biodegradable?

To those involved with plastics recycling, this could be considered a debate for the ages. In one corner, we have a foodservice ware product that's manufactured using a thermoplastic, aliphatic polymer that derives from such renewable natural resources as corn, starch and sugarcane, just to name a few. Biodegradable, compostable (when handled in a professionally-managed facility) and meltable (as the material is a thermoplastic polyester), depending on who you ask, some would claim the bio-plastic resin has the potential to replace products made from such conventional petrochemical-based plastics as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
