Fourth quarter 2013 stock performance

How did the year end for the companies we track here at Resource Recycling! For the most part, pretty well. Aided by an economy that appeared fairly resilient following the 16-day government shutdown, the majority of companies closed out the year with fourth quarter (Q4) stock price gains, with two trends becoming rather pronounced: Waste management and disposal companies struggled, while metals recycling firms managed to continue positive Q3 growth with another strong quarter.
