A plastics melt filter that's widely used in Europe will soon jump the puddle to be sold in the U.S. An automatic band melt filter from the company BritAS will be displayed in late March at NPE2015 in Orlando, Florida. The filter is designed to handle large volumes of heavily contaminated plastics, mostly poly-ethylenes, while still filtering extremely small contaminants. The announcement about its U.S. introduction was made by Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen, which purchased BritAS Recycling-Anlagen two years ago.
