Interior Storage Press-fit Organization Modules

The present product design functions as a removable compartment divider which may optionally serve as a storage device for miscellaneous items. The design entails modules (1) which shall have a compliance fit with an interior compartment (2). There shall be a groove (3) on the exterior surface of the module which mates with a slot (4) on the inside surface of the interior compartment. The modules and interior compartment are designed such that at least two of the planes are co-linear but not necessarily perpendicular which shall allow the module to slide within the interior compartment. As the modules are pressed into the interior compartment, the interior compartment allows compliance until the groove presses into the slot. The tolerance parameters and material coefficient of friction between module and compartment shall be designed such that a certain pull-out force is achieved; and such that a certain sliding force of the module within the compartment is achieved. The length of the groove shall be designed to prevent rotation of the module within the interior compartment.
