The following proposal concerns an installation of a physical data access port in the cabin or cockpit of an aircraft. Data access ports can be realized as connectors for storage medias or network plugs. Such solutions are well known in IT technology. With state of the art cabin systems it is essential to have the capability to export various types of data from inside the a/c to outside for further detailed analysis on ground. The use of wireless means whether in flight or on ground is not always possible, feasible or acceptable for a variety of reasons. In such cases another means for export is required. A comfortable way would be to extract such data to a moveable storage device. The most convenient location to connect such media would be inside the cabin or cockpit. Such access port could also be located at service panels at the outside of the aircraft, but in this case it has to resist more sever environmental conditions. And access may be more complicated as some other tools could be needed to get physical access.
