In a tufting machine a big number of loop forming tools are fixed to moving bars. The loop forming tools are normally needles, hooks, loopers and reeds. The separate tools are commonly molded into modules, often by a dlecast process where for example Zinc is used to form the module. The modules are fixed to a bar and great precision is needed. A common way is to have drilled notes on the bar and matching round locator pins in the modules. A new and improved method is to have one round locator pin with small tolerances towards the round hole and the other pin is just guiding to prevent rotation around the first round pin. The second pin is then formed so it touches the hole just in two places and not on the other sides. The benefit is that the play can be reduced and thus the precision is increased. In order to Increase stability, strength, precision and reduce weight a new form of supporting ribs is developed.
