This present invention covers the use of injection molded slot liners used in electric machine stator cores. This concept overcomes the limitations of the current paper slot liner manufacturing process in forming complex desired shapes. Difficulties of inserting paper slot liners in high volume production and allowing machines to having more than four conductors per slot maintaining wire to wire isolation. The molded geometry allows: 1. Positive stops for insertion. The design has a shoulder that interfaces with stator core. 2 Separation features between wires. Small molded walls separate wires from each other. Multi piece construction. 3. Enables various part details and precise control of part shape. 4. Better wire location control. Higher tolerance part surfaces locate wires more accurately in the slot.
